AI Foundations goes beyond teaching students how to use today’s AI tools. Our curriculum combines AI terminology, hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools​ ranging from simple projects to complex AI orchestration work flows. Further, the course delves into Python basics for AI, an intuitive understanding of how AI models work internally, and culminates with students building AI models and applications.
The result is a comprehensive foundation designed not just for using and building AI today, but also for enabling them to stay abreast with its fast-paced evolution. Students have fun while preparing themselves for what will likely be a future where AI is pervasive.
Foundations First
AI Foundations teaches high school students the math, coding and concepts behind AI models - not just prompting or using AI tools. In the fast-changing field of AI, foundations and core fundamentals outlast the skills for simply using the latest AI product.
AI Literacy Focused
Start with key terminology and state of the art tools and dive deeper progressively into the internal workings of AI models
Launchpad for College Application's Maker Portfolio
Students capstone project can serve as a launchpad for their maker portfolio for college applications
Rigorous Hands-On Approach with Personalized Attention
Students alternate between concepts and practical implementations within small cohorts that enable personalized attention
Build AI-based Application
Students will have sufficient understanding of AI models to not just vibe code, but build their own AI-powered applications (see demo)

We even went as far as to using python code to simulate a simple binary classifier. My favorite part of the course was the final project, in which we incorporated a binary classifier and a chat feature to create any web app we wanted .
